Eileen was born in 1956 in Haasts Bluff. She is the daughter of the accomplished artists Charlie Tararu (dec) and Tatali Nangala. Eileen grew up in Haasts Bluff and then later moved to Kintore with her family once the outstation there had been established. Eileen began painting in 1999, learning from both her parents by sitting beside them while they painted. Eileen’s paintings refer mostly to her father’s birthplace of Tjitjurrulnga, situated west of Kintore.
In 2008 Eileen was listed as one of the 50 Most Collectible Artists by the Art Collector Magazine.
