The sculptures are made in the same traditions as the Sacred Objects of the Land with which the men come out of their secret men ceremony after spending a night in the bush and joining the public ceremony. The Wayin marks the connections of all creatures and the guidance of the birds for all spirits travelling, alive or dead. The bird sculptures are also made in the tradition of the Sacred Objects of the Land.
