‘Earth Elements’ is Sarrita’s latest series of artworks. Sarrita has been working on these ideas for years through her other series of works such as lightning and the elements artworks such as water. However Sarrita always wanted to make even more subtle artworks combining the many aspects of the earth elements and the repetitive patterns of these elements. In this particular piece Sarrita reflects on the beautiful fresh water pools that occur after the first big rainfalls or vast ocean waters. The colours are always different from one pool of water to another. But i am always amazed at the other markings that occur from the life on, in and around the water catchments. The fine dotting is an abstract representation of all this life. The subtleness and lightness of these dots represents the idea that these markings are made in the past, present and future, repetitive patterns for eternity.
