This is a beautiful example of Kudditji's artwork. Working within the one primary colour field of purple, his tones transition from a deep blueberry tone to a soft velvet purple to a lighter lilac. Mixing his paint on the canvas, he creates shapes and depth with light transforming colours during different stages of the day.
From a Western perspective, one can view the geometric forms as representative of various geographic formations. Just like his famed sister Emily Kame Kngwarreye, he is an artist whose unique and identifiable style makes him a celebrated artist within the contemporary Aboriginal art movement.
