Ningura's works depict designs associated with Wirrulnga, a rocky site in Western Australia. Ancestral women were said to have camped at this site and collected bush food here. The site is associated with birth, as an ancestral woman gave birth there. It is also associated with hair string skirts that were made at the site and worn during ceremonies.
